Welcome to Fiona Stevens Counselling and Wellbeing

You might be feeling disconnected from your true self and not knowing who you are anymore, carrying levels of anxiety and worry and a sense of not being good enough, overthinking and self-doubt.
You can feel like you are stuck and repeating old patterns, feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, not being able to make the changes you desire.  These patterns can impact on the relationships you are having or want to have in your life. How you see yourself, and value who you are can influence those relationships around you.

I believe everyone is able to understand themselves more deeply and experience healthy boundaries in relationships with the ability to say no without guilt or shame.  Therapy should be about rediscovering this, and not being "fixed", because you are not broken.

Therapy with me is a gentle, trauma-informed process. It’s not about fixing you—because you’re not broken. It’s about creating a space where you can feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on, at your own pace.

Together, we begin to notice and understand your inner critic, rather than being controlled by it. Using approaches like CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, we gently work with the thoughts and patterns that have been keeping you stuck.

We will also focus on reconnecting you with your inner world—your emotions, your needs, and your sense of self—so that your self-worth comes from within, not from constantly proving yourself to others.

Over time, this work can help you feel more grounded, more confident in your boundaries, and more like yourself again.

Hello, I'm Fiona Stevens

My professional journey started a little later in life when I discovered to gift of working "with" people.  I have been on a long journey in my professional career, working in many areas of counselling and support, case management and advocating to support positive changes.  This journey has led me to exploring my own development in CBT, ACT and Trauma Informed therapeutic approaches. I have also explored more deeply in my personal journey in  yoga and mindfulness.  My work offers a supportive, safe space grounded in evidence based approaches.
I work primarily with women and men 30 years and over who appear high functioning and who feel anxious and diminished in their relationships, who want to confidently express their needs, set boundaries, and feel connected and truly seen.
